Topic based on the book
Women Without Kids by Ruby Warrington
The Revolutionary Rise of an Unsung Sisterhood
Have you felt like an outcast as a woman without kids?
Have you felt judged by others or felt yourself as sad, self-obsessed, dysfunctional because you are not a mother?
Felt like your life is incomplete? Have you felt less-than, a failure, a freak?
For some of us, non-motherhood is a conscious choice; for others, it just hasn’t happened.
What if we reframed that view!
“Whether we are childless by design or circumstance, we can live without regret, shame or self-doubt.“
Whatever the reason for being nobody’s mom, there is nothing wrong with you and you are not the only one.
The discussion may be uncomfortable- that is good- meeting ourselves at the edge is how we live beyond the stereotypes
and cliches that keep us playing out tired old stories on repeat.
All those who identify as women are invited to join this juicy, deep conversation no matter where you land on the spectrum of having kids.
**This is not an anti-mother event.**
If anything, we will acknowledge how big of a role a mother plays, why it’s just not made for everyone, and that’s OK.
Feel free to check out this book before our session, but absolutely not necessary!
(You will probably want to read it at some point, though!)
Please join us to explore heart-opening & healing questions.
Fee: $22 includes one cocktail / mocktail @ Shag Bar
