Frequently Asked Questions

If you don't find your answer here, Michelle responds to every message personally.

What is Reiki, and how does distance Reiki work?

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing practice that supports relaxation, stress reduction, and the body's natural ability to heal. Distance Reiki works on the understanding that energy is not limited by physical space — the same intention and presence that flows in an in-person session can be transmitted remotely. Many clients report equally powerful experiences from their own home.

Do I need to have a spiritual practice or belief system to benefit from Reiki or yoga?

No. Natural Harmony welcomes people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and experience levels. These practices are offered as tools for healing and self-awareness — not as religious doctrine. You bring whatever you bring, and that's enough.

How does the donation-based model work?

Natural Harmony operates as a 508(c)(1)(a) faith-based spiritual fellowship. Offerings are made available by donation because Michelle believes healing should be accessible. You give what you're genuinely able to give — no minimum, no judgment.

What should I expect during a Reiki session with Michelle?

Sessions are conducted via video or phone. You'll be guided to a comfortable resting position. Michelle holds the space, sets an intention, and works energetically for 45–60 minutes. Afterward, you'll have time to share and receive any intuitive insights from the session.

How is Grounded Growth Coaching different from therapy?

Coaching is forward-focused and action-oriented — it's about where you want to go and what's getting in the way. Therapy is clinically trained to address mental health conditions. Michelle's coaching is holistic and spiritually grounded, and she always recommends therapy when appropriate.

Where are the retreats held, and how many people attend?

Retreats are held at Carolina Beach, North Carolina, in the Colorado mountains, and in Nicaragua. Groups are intentionally small — typically 6–12 participants — to allow for deep personal attention and genuine community.

Can I join the online yoga community if I'm a complete beginner?

Absolutely. Michelle teaches in a way that honors every level of experience. Beginners are welcomed with the same care as longtime practitioners. The online yoga community is a real community — not a video library — and there's space for you exactly as you are.
